Hey, I’m Emily, but most people call me Em. I’ve been obsessed with hip hop, video games, comic books, and cartoons since I was a kid. I grew up in Philadelphia, but moved out to the desert in 2010. After a couple of years of just kind of floating through life, I finally decided to make good on my passions and go back to school.
I received my Associate’s in Digital Art at Mesa Community College, but still wanted more, so I transferred to Arizona State University for a Bachelor’s in Graphic Information Technology, with a focus in 2D and 3D Animation. This still wasn’t enough to satisfy me, so grad school was up next, to play around with virtual reality and 360 video. Nowadays, I spend my time teaching and learning at ASU, where I work as a full-time Instructor and will attend again starting Spring 2025 in the Robotics and Autonomous Systems Bachelor's Degree Program.
Outside of academics, I have dabbled in the video game industry, working as a content creator, playtester, development team member, and voice actor. My real passion is making silly videos, but video games will always hold a special place in my heart.
